2008 GLI EnterpriseCorp. Hot Dozen
The Hot Dozen is an annual celebration of 12 locally-owned companies who have benefited from Louisville’s entrepreneurial atmosphere and continue to thrive in our region. The companies represent innovation and entrepreneurship in Louisville’s business community.
2008 Republic Bank "We Care" Finalist
Businesses who encourage employees to become involved in volunteer activities either during or after work hours such as tutoring, mentoring, or coaching a youth sports activity. Also, organizations will be evaluated on how they support community-based initiatives through philanthropic efforts such as fundraising and neighborhood assistance.
2007 Business First Fast Fifty
The "Fast 50 List" is a highly coveted list of emerging companies who meet a variety of criteria. Recipients of the Fast 50 must; be independent, for profit and privately held through year-end 2004; have a minimum average of $1 million in sales for the three most recent fiscal years; and have at least a three year operating history. Companies are then selected for this award based on their growth rate over the three year period compared to other companies during that same period.

Inc.credible Awards to honor outstanding small businesses in our community. Small businesses lay the foundation for Greater Louisville's economy. They create new jobs and new wealth, empowering people to use their skills. They play a vital role in the local community and economy - combined they represent Greater Louisville's largest employer.
The Inc.credible Awards salute outstanding small businesses (with fewer than 100 employees) in these six categories:

Companies participating in the High Impact Program represent a diversified portfolio, much like a stock portfolio, that includes
"gazelle"
or fast growth companies,
"renaissance"
or companies undergoing revitalization and
"enablers"
that facilitate fast growth in other companies.
The Gazelles - Fast growth companies
Characteristics:
• At least four years old
• Annual compounded growth rate of at least 20% over the last four years, starting from a
base of $100,000
• At least $1 million in annual revenue for the last three years with a positive operating profit
Typical Business Focus:
• Strong management teams
• Competitive advantage
• Defensible market position
• Job creation
The Renaissance Companies - Established company undergoing change or revitalization.
Characteristics:
• At least fifteen years old
• Have been in a state of rapid growth (at least 10%) within the last four years
• Undergoing change in management or leadership structure, gain of large new client, entry into new market, launch of new product/service, or change in mission or business direction
Require multi-disciplinary, hands-on experience in a short timeframe in the following areas:
• Capital acquisition
• Commercialization
• Bridge/interim management
• Technology
The Enablers - Company that provides a vital product or service that enables other companies to grow at a fast rate.
Characteristics:
• Guidance center or business incubator for entrepreneurial companies and start-ups
• Investment firm of operating businesses
• Technical solution provider
Typical Business Focus:
• Transfer of knowledge and technology in highly competitive industries undergoing rapid change.

Fulfillment Concepts Inc., which has a 150,000-square-foot facility at 2200 Ampere Drive, recently began operating the Xerox IGen4 press, which company president Jack Mullins said offers the quality of lithographic printing at the speed of digital printing.
